Er is een aantal instellingen via welke je makkelijk parners en ondersteuning kan vinden voor internationale samenwerkingsprojecten. De belangrijkste zijn:
- Europees Platform Het Europees Platform geeft heel veel informatie over internationaliseren ( hoe waarom, voorbeelden, ..) en over mogelijke subsidies. Helen Parkhurst neemt deel aan het Europees Platform en kan ondersteuning krijgen bij de internationalisering via NIVO (zie beneden).
- iEarn (International Education and Resource Network) is the world’s largest non-profit global network that enables teachers and youth to use the Internet and other technologies to collaborate on projects that enhance learning and make a difference in the world.
- iEarn Nederland helpt leraren bij het initiëren, ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van projecten.iEARN steunt scholen door het aanbieden van en bemiddelen bij internationale ICT-projecten met een lage instapdrempel
- eTwinning eTwinning bevordert samenwerking tussen scholen binnen Europa door het gebruik van ICT. Het biedt een kosteloze virtuele projectruimte waarbinnen u op een veilige manier kunt samenwerken. eTwinning geeft leerkrachten en leerlingen een scala aan pedagogische kansen en mogelijkheden, motiveert tot leren en zet de deur van het klaslokaal online open naar scholen in Europa. eTwinning maakt samenwerking met partnerscholen in Europa gemakkelijk via de website
- Twinschools Twinschools ondersteunt het samenwerken en samenleren van scholen buiten Europa. Twinschools helpt bij het vinden van betrouwbare partnerscholen en het opbouwen van een duurzame samenwerking. Twinschools wordt ondersteund door Kennisnet.
- www.werelddocent.nl is de website voor en over wereldburgerschap en onderwijs. Deze website biedt een platform voor het uitwisselen van praktijkvoorbeelden op het gebied van wereldburgerschap in het onderwijs.
- Het Internationaalplein van Kennisnet Hier presenteert het Kennisnet heel veel informatie over internationaliseren.
- IDEC. IDEC staat voor International Development in Europe Committee. Het is een samenwerkingsverband van 30 Europese landen op het gebied van geletterdheid. Dit samenwerkingsverband hoort bij de International Reading Association. Jeroen Clemens is vertegenwoordiger van Nederland in dit samenwerkingsverband.
Helen Parkhurst is deelnemer van al deze internationale groepen. Wij zijn ook lid van het Netwerk internationalisering voortgezet onderwijs. Binnen Nivo (Netwerk Internationalisering Voortgezet Onderwijs) kunnen scholen van elkaar leren. Ook krijgen de scholen die lid zijn van dit netwerk minimaal één keer per schooljaar bezoek van een adviseur van het Europees Platform. Voor Nivo-scholen organiseert studiedagen en conferenties. Nivo-scholen kunnen gebruik maken van (les-)materiaal dat bij internationale projecten gebruikt kan worden. Het Europees Platform informeert het hele jaar door de Nivo-scholen via nieuwsbrieven en een speciale website over de nieuwste ontwikkelingen en betrekt hen als eerste bij eventuele pilot-projecten.
